Interconnection
CEG performs
project management for distributed generator interconnection projects, including tasks such as: protective relay settings
development and review, equipment review, generation system design review, verification of interconnection requirements and
witnessing of functional testing. CEG also works with transmission
providers for interconnection up to 345kV.
Substation Design and EPC
CEG designs interconnection substations. Substation design, site development, material purchase
and construction of all types of substations. We can furnish designs and major material quotes on fast track projects.
CEG can provide design or design/build services for distribution substations and
transmission substation for municipal, cooperative, or investor-owned utilities.
Studies, Plans and Guides
CEG can
provide a wide range of planning and operational studies for transmission and distribution systems from fault and event analysis
through long-range plans.
Substation Upgrades
CEG
is experienced in completing equipment additions and upgrades at existing substations. Recent work includes:
RTU Replacements - Prepared schematics and wiring diagrams for removal of
existing RTU’s and annunciator panels and retrofit new RTU for multiple transmission substations.
Breaker replacements – Furnished designs for the replacement of old transmission
circuit breakers with new units.
Capacitor
banks - Specification and selection of the capacitors; and design of physical, control and SCADA modifications. Each substation
required a new breaker for the capacitor bank, foundations, control wiring and various modifications to the substation structures
or site.
Design/Drafting
Full drafting staff and capabilities. CEG can work to the client’s standards or help to
develop standards. We can scan old paper copies and recreate them in AutoCAD or MicroStation and make them
fully editable drawings. We can plot drawings 3 feet wide and up to 300 feet in length.
SCADA/Distribution Automation
CEG has designed complete SCADA systems
for municipal utilities, including management of installation and commissioning. CEG provides engineering for modification
or upgrades to existing systems and also works with load management systems and automated switching schemes.
