Minwind III-IX
CEG designed the interconnection substation and collection feeders for this 11.5 MW wind farm located in Rock County, MN. The 161 kV substation included a high side switch and fuse and a 34.5 kV recloser on the low side of the substation transformer. It was designed with ease of installation and low up-front costs in mind. The project included material specification, detailed steel and foundation designs, and coordination of settings with the transmission utility. CEG also designed and specified equipment for the 3 miles of underground 34.5 kV collection feeders.
Westridge and Christoffer Substations
These substations are 10 MVA wind farm interconnections that tap into Xcel Energy and Great River Energy. Includes 69kV transmission lines in Jackson County, MN.
Empire Substation
This project consisted of designing and building a joint 115/12.5 kV substation for Great River Energy, Xcel Energy, and Dakota Electric Association. Work included substation design, site development, material purchase and construction management.
Eagle Creek Substation
CEG was hired by Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative and Great River Energy as the engineer and project manager on this double ended 115/12.47kv switchgear substation.
Watertown, South Dakota
CEG completed the design of a 115kV loop around town. This work included the addition of 4-115kV breakers, a major expansion at one substation and the installation of a SCADA system.
