SCADA Intern

Position Overview:
CEG is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of SCADA Intern working with Automation and Integration of Plant SCADA and PPC systems into Renewable Power Generation Plants. The SCADA Intern will assist engineers in designing, configuring, testing, and maintaining SCADA systems for Renewable Energy Power Plants. Typical duties include learning about networking, screen development through the Ignition platform, point to point testing, documentation development, researching topics for troubleshooting, and other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Do:
Assist in designing SCADA and control systems for substations, power plants, wind farms, solar plants, storage plants, and other electrical power facilities
Help develop high-level SCADA block diagrams indicating protocols, communications media, networking, addressing, data flow, bill of materials, and other design documents
Support the coordination of SCADA scope on larger projects, ensuring clear communication and efficient work among vendors, owners, Fiber providers, and other stakeholders
Research and provide feedback on topics assigned by project engineers
Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination for projects of all sizes
Work with other project team members to produce project deliverables as required
Other job-related responsibilities as assigned
What You’ll Need:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or related field
Experience in relevant coursework or projects in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
Effective written and oral communication skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
